Q: Where do the antique Chinese porcelain fragments used in your jewelry come from?
A: The pieces we use were selected and collected from antique lovers and collectors in China. Many come from family collections which have been passed down through the generations.
Q: How can you guarantee the dynasty that a piece comes from?
A: I’m relying on my own expertise in antique Chinese porcelain, as well as the certification I receive from the prior owner when I purchase a piece. All our jewelry comes with a Certification of Authenticity card.
Q: Will the porcelain used have defects or blemishes?
A: Possibly. Our jewelry is made from antique Chinese porcelain and fragments which can be several hundred years old. They may have small chips, hairline cracks or scratches due to their age and how they were stored. We make every attempt to showcase the beauty of our jewelry’s actual appearance on our website.
Q: What kind of antique porcelain is common or typically found in China?
A: There are a variety of porcelain types in color, style and decorations. Blue and white porcelain has always had a higher reputation for its unique color and contrast.
Q: What metal is used in the jewelry?
A: International standard sterling silver – Hallmarks: S925.
Q: Is the jewelry shown available all the time?
A: The ancient Chinese porcelains and fragments we use were hand painted by artisans of a bygone era. Variations can sometimes been seen in the illustrations, characters and figures drawn. Our jewelry is handcrafted with meticulous attention in design, shape and setting.
Q: Do you offer custom jewelry?
A: Yes. We love to work with our customers to realize their ideas. Please use the Contact Us link for further information.
Q: How is your jewelry packaged?
A: All our jewelry arrives in an elegant brocade box similar to but not identical with the one shown.
Q: How do I clean my jewelry?
A: We recommend using the provided silver polishing cloth to clean and remove any tarnish spots from settings. For persistent tarnish spots, use a small drop of toothpaste on the tip of your finger and rub gently with a circular motion; then rinse as needed with lukewarm water and dry with a soft cotton cloth. Porcelain surfaces should require only infrequent and minimal cleaning - if needed, rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a soft cotton cloth. Never use any kind of abrasive (even mild ones) or chemical cleaners on our jewelry.
Q: How do I store this jewelry?
A: Store silver jewelry in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity, and especially avoid storing it anywhere near rubber. These can tarnish or even corrode silver and slowly turn it black. For extended storage, we recommend placing your jewelry in a small ziplock plastic bag. Proper storage of your jewelry will keep it looking new.
Q: Will I have import issues with Customs since the jewelry is antique?
A: No. You won't experience any issues with Customs since these are fragments of antique wares.

Q: Is the jewelry the same size as shown on the website?
